A sweeping novel spanning the Atlantic Ocean and several decades, it tells the story of two Italian immigrants, Ciro and Enza. Starting with their lives as small children in Italy all the way to when Enza is an old, old woman, Trigiani weaves an amazing tale of love across time and distance.
