I get to this Sunday .... it's forecasted to be 90 and sunny here, and that also happens to be one of my days off, so bonus! Cannot wait to sit outside and read some of my new book, The Shoemaker's Wife. Now, onto the Friday fun ...

Cast Your Own Story: If you could use existing characters from some of your favorite books to create a new story, who would be in it?
Wow, this one is a toughie! I have so many favorite characters, but I don't know if they would mix well together! I think, since it's summertime, I would make the setting the beach (and since it's my imagination, let's say Capri in Italy). I would send Valentine from Very Valentine and Brava, Valentine (Adriana Trigiani), Lara Lington from Twenties Girl (Sophie Kinsella), and Maisie Dobbs from the Maisie Dobbs series (Jacqueline Winspear) (she can time travel, too). I love all of these women because their stories don't focus entirely on love and they are all obsessed with their work. So I would send them all to an amazing Italian resort to relax.
