Book Blog Hop and Follow Friday! (5-20-11)

Happy Friday everyone! Another week has passed, thank goodness! And with another week gone, it means that we are one week closer to summer! I cannot wait to sit outside and read all day and eat watermelon (my favorite fruit). In the meantime, it's time for the Book Blog Hop(hosted by Crazy for Books) and Follow Friday (hosted by Parajunkee).

Q: "If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?"

Oh my goodness, there are so many to choose from! The obvious choice would be Harry Potter, but I will try and think of something else. Probably one of the books that I love to read that is set in WWII. It may sound weird, but I would have loved to see the world at that time, to experience what all those people went through. I don't know if I could pick just one book though.

Q. It's circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them...

1) The Office is my guilty pleasure. I would love to work at Dunder Mufflin ... I think it would be a hoot. And who wouldn't love to stare at Jim all day?

2) I like to have everything alphabetized. Books, DVDs, CDs ... you name it, I want to alphabetize it.

3) Disney is my obsession. I try to learn everything that I can about Disney ... I have always been this way. Ever since I was a child. I just wanted to learn everything there was to learn about Disney!

4) I can't eat rice. It makes me sick ... it's not an allergy, but it's the only food that I can't eat.

5) My new addiction is Angry Birds and 30 Rock. After reading Tina Fey's book, all I want to do is watch her show! And Angry Birds is just plain addicting!

I hope that everyone has a great weekend! Let me know what your quirks/habits are!

  1. I love rice pudding! Please don't hold that against me :)

    I'm an old follower! :)

Feel free to stop by my blog -

  2. Hi, Just dropping by on the hop. Hogwarts was the first and best fictional place I came up with, everywhere I'd really love to visit is real.

  3. Hopping by and now following. I *love* Disney, too :):)

    Take care & happy reading,
    Ms. C

  4. Two interesting choices.

    here's mine:

  5. Can't think of a fictional place. I've tried and came up with zilch. I love reality. Something quirky well, I would say I like sugar on everything, rice, cereal, grits, etc.

  6. These questions are great, I love reading everyone's answers! I also have to have everything alphabetized :). I recently rearranged my shelves by genre and then alphabetized the genres. *sigh* It had to be done.

  7. I’ve seen a lot of great picks and gathered some fresh titles to add to my ever-growing TBR list. My answer will probably stun most people because the world I picked is a place most people would be scared to death of and try to escape from. Me? I want in.

  8. I'm not an alphabatizer, but everything has to have some sort of order. Like my DVDs are ordered by brand (Disney, WB, etc.)

  9. That's interesting. I love rice. If you aren't going to eat something, it is good to pick something that isn't on the healthy side.

  10. Hopping through. I love Angry Birds! I got introduced to Angry Birds Rio recently too.

  11. I'm going to really have to try Angry Birds because everybody says it is so addictive! Hi! Just stopping by. Following you from the Feature and Follow Friday blog hop (finishing from last night!). Would love a follow back: I also have twitter: @wlbks. Have a 'good read' weekend!

  12. Hopping by to visit and follow! Yes, Dunder Mifflin actually looks like a great place to work. It would be worth the trouble just to see what wacky thing Dwight is going to do next. And Jim's not not shabby, either. :-) I want to read Tina Fey's new book, I keep hearing such good things!

  13. Hello there!
I've been looking through your blog besides reading your answers to this weekend's link-ups. You read something interesting-looking books. I can't imagine that I would have picked them up on my own. You also have a wonderful layout!

As for the questions, I have wanted to read Tina Fey's book so much! I've seen tons of people carrying it around and saying that they loved it-- including people who don't really read that much. Dunder Mifflin would totally be a great place to work!

If you'd like to drop by for a visit sometime, I'd really appreciate that:

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
