Time for the Book Blogger Hop! This weekly meme, hosted by Crazy for Books, is a great way to meet fellow bloggers and learn a little more about one another. This week's question comes from Somer at A Bird's Eye Review:
"Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?"
I am a one-book-at-a-time gal. I just feel that if I am reading more than one book at a time, that I am cheating on my books ... with one another! I know, it sounds crazy, but I like to give myself fully to a book and really know those characters. If I read more than one at a time, I don't think I would be able to understand the characters fully. Those of you who can read more than one book ... kudos to you!
That's the first time I've ever heard it described that way - fully giving yourself to a book - I guess, it's true, we do commit to finishing a book when we start it...
ReplyDeleteHere's my Book Blogger Hop: 3/18-3/21 post!
I agree 2 or more books get me all frazzled! I would love anything to be able to read 3 different books at a time but alas... sorry for me!
ReplyDeleteif I were a superhero... I would want the power of telepathic bibliophile: Where I can touch the spine of the book and know instantly what it is about. I would want to be able to switch it off.. :)
Pop past the blog and say HI!
Great answer. YOu can find my answer here: http://bookskidsanimalsandmore.blogspot.com/2011/03/its-friday-follow-friday.html
ReplyDeleteHaha! I have the same thoughts on my books, I can only get through one at a time! Happy Hopping :D

I can understand that view. Once engrossed in a book I hate to put it down, but time constraints mean that I often have to so I can manage to read two books at a time as long as they are different genres.
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I'm a multi-book girl, but I think it's smart to really devote yourself to a plot and characters.
