topic is:
Books I'd Want On a Desert Island
1) The Harry Potter series (I know that this is seven books, but I couldn't just choose one of them!)
2) A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith (it's my favorite book ... I couldn't leave it behind!)
3) Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (since Louis is stuck out in the ocean for 45 days, maybe I could get some survival tips from him. And it would also encourage me to be strong and persevere.)
4) Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella (I haven't finished this series yet, but it would definitely keep me laughing while I'm waiting for rescue.)
5) Valentine series by Adriana Trigiani (I loved the first two books in this series and am anxiously awaiting the third one!)
6) To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (a classic. I couldn't leave it behind)
7) some type of survival book (I think that's an obvious choice!)

fun list, great books and I think you are right. The survival book is a no brainer. I think I'd take a seafood cookbook too. kaye—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I'm not sure I could narrow that down to only ten books! You are certainly on the right track with counting all of Harry Potter as one ;-) I'd probably cheat and bring a solar powered kindle (they should really invent that) so I can have ALL the books!

I completely agree with Mockingbird (my favorite read). I did memoirs of bibliophiles this week.
